About Acupuncture Awareness Week
27th February – 4th March 2012
The first ever Acupuncture Awareness Week in the UK, supported by the British Acupuncture Council, aims to dispel the myths surrounding acupuncture, what conditions it can help and give members of the public/you all the information you need about treatment.

This first ever Acupuncture Awareness Week aims to dispel the myths surrounding acupuncture and give consumers the information they need about treatment and what to expect when they go to see an acupuncturist.
A consumer friendly micro site has been set up, including videos and case study testimonials and a practitioner FAQ, all atwww.introducingacupuncture.co.uk
There is a celebrity endorsement in the shape of Clare Nasir, GMTV weather girl and TV presenter, talking about her positive experience of acupuncture for fertility, amongst other ailments
An independent myth-busting survey has also occurred to discover what people know and think they know about acupuncture.
The British Acupuncture Council is encouraging people to hold an event and publicise it through social media, leaflets and local newspapers.
